Since 2005, Karat® has been the proud manufacturer of Karat® plastic and paper compostable products. In an effort to be more environmentally friendly, in 2007 Karat® developed Karat® Earth, a plant-based line of compostable products. Karat ® Earth includes compostable cups and utensils. Karat® is headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan. We specialize in compostable products, such as paper coffee cups, plastic cups, food containers, dessert cups, cup lids and other related food packaging products. Karat® also sells customized cups and cup sleeves. The company provides compostable products at a low price, which makes living green affordable in today’s tough economic state.

Karat® Earth is Karat®’s environmental initiative to create a compostable line of products, including paper and plastic ware, developed from the idea that living green can help people save green. Karat® Earth’s compostable products are made with NatureWorks® PLA, a polymer that can be completely degraded, posting no threat to the natural environment. Unlike most PLA products in the market, the Karat® Earth’s PLA cups and lids are made in standard cup/lid sizes for easy switch and storage.
