In 2007, Karat® decided to “go green”- developing Karat® Earth and doing something our eco-friendly competitors could not: offer great eco-friendly plastic cups, paper cups, and assorted products at an affordable price. At Karat®, we make it our mission to let our customers know that they do not have to sacrifice the environment for budget-friendly plastic ware. Karat® Earth’s plastic disposable-wares are made with NatureWorks® PLA, a polymer that can be completely degraded and poses no threat to the natural environment. Unlike most PLA products in the market, the Karat® Earth’s PLA cups and lids are made in standard cup/lid sizes for easy switch between brands and storage. Karat® currently offers compostable plastic cups, lids, and compostable straws in a variety of sizes. Coming soon is the compostable plastic utensils line.

Karat® is the ‘one stop shop’ for people looking to buy customizable paper hot cups, plastic cups, and cup sleeves. Customers can purchase from Karat®’s diverse range of products and customize the order with their company’s brand or logo. Karat® offers 4-color custom plastic cup printing. Karat’s short turn-around time means you receive and enjoy the benefits of custom plastic cups sooner than you would with other cup suppliers. Karat® can customize a minimum order of 30 cases in 8-12 weeks for customized plastic and paper cups, which is less than half the time it would take our competitors for the same job.
